Google Search lists everything as “Malware”
If you searched anything on Google within the last few minutes, you will now notice that every site is listed as “Harmful”. Under almost every link you will see: “This site may harm your computer.”. Even Google is listed as harmful (see left)! Someone must have screwed something up, or Google was hacked! Well, in the meantime, just ignore the “ Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer! ” message and in the URL box of your browser remove the “http://www.google.com/interstitial?url=” part.
If your URL looks like this: http://www.google.com/interstitial?url=http://www.google.com/ it would change to http://www.google.com/. Just continue to edit the URL until this “problem” is over with. Keep posted on this page with the latest updates.
Update (10:10 AM EST): It looks like it is starting to affect everyone, as there are hundreds of people searching for “this site may harm your computer” and coming to here. Also, Twitter has been flooded with angry users and concerned webmasters.
Update (11:00 am EST): The problem was fixed, however there has been no statement yet from Google regarding the problem. Keep checking http://googleblog.blogspot.com/ and right here for anything about it!
Google made a post on their blog now explaining the problem. It seems it was a “simple human error”.
Good Luck!

Thanks for your help, seriously!!! I was APPALLED–switched to Firefox and Yahoo because Google was my homepage–I couldn’t get beyond the Google message. I hope they fix this quick or their site will crash around the world!! Maybe a little too much hubris on their part needs a good whacking. Too much of a good thing, I guess. THANKS again!
It is fixed…must have been embarrassing..

I think that it’s a push by Google. Now that the economy is heading south, internet services like eBay and Google seem to be getting down right spooky in their attempts to make a buck. They will sell their users souls to the highest bidder.
We’ll find out this is some sort of scare tactic employed by Google to get users to agree with a radical new and abusive change to their platform. It will be Google’s attempt to get every user to install a Google dash board, Google mal ware, and sign into a Google account every day all day long 24/7 -so they can record your every key stroke and sell it to the republican party.
Be afraid, very afraid!
It got fixed… :(

I use my laptop for personal use. Since this morning i am getting this strange message whenever i ‘google’ for anything. Initially i thought that I might have changed some security setting due to which this message is coming. But now it seems many internet users are getting the same message.
It would be really helpful if someone let us know when a fix is out for this…its really disturbing and time taking to use the internet now.

End of days, so I thought…lol
I don’t think it was hacked or anything, it would be really difficult to hack Google (even though it could be possible). I’m sure it was just an error on their end or some bad code.
Hopefully Google gets it fixed real quick.
Ok as of now it looks like they fixed it —-
